"There’s no question this is a different ski experience than you’d get in the UK or Europe".

You bet!

I didn't know just how different it was until I experienced it for myself. Being a London (UK) based boarder, France or Austria are the usual destinations for my trips.

But, like the competition winners, I'm now looking forward to my next trip across the Atlantic.

Hi,
I'm a student and I am doing a team project on the use of social media by skiers and snowboarders. Someone from the Association des Stations du Ski du Québec has already shown an interest in the results!
In order to have really representative stats, we need a lot of respondents from a variety of places. We advertised the study on Facebook, but we don't want Facebookers to be overrepresented, so I'm trying to reach people through other channels. Would you be willing to help us spread the word? The link is: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NKGFH3F
We have until Thursday to collect 30 more responses!
Thanks! I hope it's not a bother.

Hey Genevieve,

If he's interested in aerial skiing, I would say the best place to start looking would be in Lac Beauport. It's not too far from Montreal, and they have a great facility with programs for kids. The only catch is, it's a summer program (they train in water). Check out this site to start - hopefully it helps! Otherwise, there's a neat thing called "The Air Bag" that is kind of like a giant crash mat at the foot of a jump. It moves from hill to hill every weekend. Their schedule is posted here - I know they have a couple of events scheduled at Sutton and Mont Blanc in the coming weeks. It's a safer way to practice...

Best of luck - and tell your son I'm rooting for him!

Hi,

My eight-year-old son is an adrenaline junkie - he has Sensory Integration Disfunction so he craves all forms of vestibular input (sliding, skiing, roller coasters, speed, video games etc.) He's nuts and he keeps getting in trouble skiing too fast and losing control!!

Anyways, he really wants to learn how to Ski Jump! Where the heck can he learn that and who can coach him?? We're in Montreal. :o) Thanks.
